If you have an
Afinia printer like the L801; or have an Afinia Label Finisher like the
DLF220s, now Color Label Solutions provides break-fix service out of our Signal
Hill office.

Let me tell you
two recent stories about our break fix capabilities.
Recently, a
customer moved two L801 printers to a new location; without draining the
printhead. Although careful, the
printers were a disaster.

According to
Danny Valles, Support and Applications Associate for Color Label Solutions, “When
I first saw the printers, I was surprised how dirty they were. Ink was underneath the print mechanism and
behind the ink cartridges; and construction dust covered all parts of the
printer.”

To repair these
printers, our team in Signal Hill disassembled the printers, cleaned
everything, reassembled the printers and confirmed they worked. Now both printers are back in production at
our customer’s site. Danny says, “I was
surprised how good they looked and worked after our team’s effort given their
appearance when I first saw them.”
In addition to
our customer’s L801 printer, I sent our L701 demo printer to a customer. After receiving the printer, the customer called to say it didn’t work. When I visited, I
found the printer had been broken in shipment. First, the clamshell would not close as the
bushing was bent.

Second, the
output module was broken:

Once I knew the
printer as broken, I sent it to our team in Signal Hill. Not only did our technician, Louie Phan
replace the top hinge:

He replaced or
fixed the other parts as well.

Now the L701 is
printing great!

In addition to
printers, we recently fixed our used DLF220S Label Finisher as well. We found the slitter rod/motor had been bent
somehow. Once we have the replacement
part, Louie fixed it quickly.
